Small Business Within a Small Business
Asheville is blessed with small businesses galore, giving folks plenty of opportunity to support locally where it really matters. And because Boutique Royale is a small business, we personally understand the struggle of the hustle. Whether it’s your main source of income or just a little extra money on the side, any small business matters. And here at the store, we support and sell items from 3 other small businesses (so far)!
First up is our jewelry selection, all handmade by our manager Katie! She began making jewelry in high school and has picked it back up recently as a creative hobby. She ended up with too much and didn’t know what else to do with it, so she decided to sell it here at the store! Katie makes very unique pieces from romantic to horror-inspired to holiday-themed. There are so many choices from chokers and necklaces to earrings, even hooped earrings that are stretched-lobe friendly (something I personally appreciate!). Her jewelry is also very reasonably priced, something that is not always the case with fun, handmade pieces
Our second business is owned by our good friend Amy and she owns “Offset Clarity”. Amy makes amazing products from body sprays to homemade sunscreen and bug repellent, but is probably best known for her candles. When you walk into the store they’re the first things that you can smell and they’re all delightful! Last but not least, our third small business is by yours truly! That’s right, as well as the blogger for the store I also make my own Sex Magick and aphrodisiac candles. They can be used to simply set the mood, or to help you with your magical endeavors. I also have plans to begin making my own fetish candles to sell here, so stay tuned for those because they’re coming very soon!
