Anal Sex: Numbing VS Relaxing

It’s Anal August, so you know what that means-we’re discussing one of my favorite topics! Anal sex (when safely done) can be a very enjoyable experience and is a great way to change up your sex life. But if it’s your first time you may think “but it’s gonna hurt!” Never fear my dear, we have a wide range of products to help with that.

Let’s talk about numbing products. “Anal Ease” has been around forever and people still ask for it by name. It’s a topical gel that you rub on the outside of the anus a few minutes before penetration, and it will completely numb the area. This is not my personal favorite because a)you want to feel it to enjoy it, and b)you want to be able to know if something is going wrong.

Now my personal go to products are actually by the vegan company “Intimate Earth”. First up is their “Adventure” serum. It’s also a topical product that you apply to the anus before penetration. The difference is the “Adventure” is a relaxer, meaning it’s going to help loosen things up while maintaining any sensations you experience. Combined with my other favorite product, the “Bliss” water based lubricant with clove extract. Because it’s water based it’s condom and toy safe, it’s very thick so plenty of cushion, and it’s going to help with overall comfort and pleasure.
